(Comatonse) Prolific experimentalist Terre Thaemlitz arrives with an interesting 12-inch, contrasting two versions of "She's Hard": one pre-recorded in the studio and one performed live at the Hug Parade in Minsk, Belarus last summer. It's wonderful to hear the crowd explode with pleasure as he makes the transition from a serene, almost classical opening movement to some rolling midtempo breakbeats, and even better to hear positive proof of the effectiveness of live electronic music.
