Award winning multi-media producer, theorist, public speaker, educator and DJ Terre Thaemlitz will debut Lovebomb, his latest multimedia performance work at Kaleide RMIT Union THeatre on Friday June 18 at 7pm. Terre's performance is a taste of what is to come at Melbourne's premiere sound arts festival Liquid Architecture, held from July 13-18. Thaemlitz' work critically combines themes of identity politics - including gender, sexuality, class, linguistics, ethnicity and race - with an ongoing critique of the socio-economics of commercial media production. Starting with an introductory explanation of the main theme, the Lovebomb audio/video performance will conclude with audience questions and discussion. Supporting Thaemlitz will be local sound mavericks Antediluvian Rocking Horse with visuals by Emile Zile.
